Full Time Experienced Registered Psychologist

Advantage Psychology is a private psychology practice based in Western Sydney, with offices in St Marys and Rouse Hill. We are seeking to employ an experienced registered psychologist to work part-time (3 days per week) with our team of registered and clinical psychologists. There will be opportunities to increase to full-time based on how well you are building on your competencies.

The role will be based between our St Marys and Rouse Hill offices with a starting salary package of $112,000 based on experience.

DUTIES:

  • Individual therapy of child, adolescent and adult clients using a range of evidence-based interventions including CBT, DBT, ACT and Schema therapy

  • Co-ordinating and facilitating group programs and performing a range of assessments

  • Cognitive testing and report writing using the WAIS, WISC and WIAT and the ABAS

  • Work with a multidisciplinary approach by liaising with other stakeholders to support client’s recovery, including General Practitioners, paediatricians, psychiatrists, allied health, schools and family members

  • Actively participate in case discussion, supervision and team activities 

  • Administrative tasks including case formulations, report writing, clinical notes, and preparing for subsequent sessions

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • minimum 2 years’ experience as a fully registered AHPRA psychologist

  • Medicare registered

  • Experience & willingness to deal with a broad range of client issues, including children

  • Experienced with a range of evidence based therapies such as CBT, DBT, Schema and/or ACT

  • Enthusiastic & collegiate work style

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to build good rapport with clients and referrers

  • Excellent time management & self-management skills

  • Experience conducting group programs and webinars

  • Working with Children check and Police check

  • Eligibility for full/associate APS membership

  • Professional Indemnity insurance

  • Competent using computer including Microsoft suite
